IUSD Board Policies and Administrative Regulations

The following Board Policies and Administrative Regulations are in accordance with 好色先生tv .听

The Board of Education desires to provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive school environment to ensure equal access to and opportunities for all students in the District's 好色先生tval programs, guidance and counseling programs, athletic programs, testing procedures, and other activities. District programs and activities shall be free from unlawful discrimination, including discriminatory harassment, intimidation, and bullying of any student based on the student's actual or perceived race or ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, nationality, ethnic group identification, immigration status, age, religion, actual or potential parental, family, or marital status, pregnancy, childbirth, termination of pregnancy or lactation, including related medical conditions or recovery, physical or mental disability, sex, sex stereotypes, sex characteristics, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, or genetic information;听the perception of one or more of such characteristics; or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.

The Board prohibits discrimination, intimidation,听bullying,听or harassment of any student by any employee, student, or other person in the District. Prohibited harassment includes physical, verbal, nonverbal, or written conduct based on any of the categories listed above that is so severe, persistent, or pervasive that it affects a student's ability to participate in or benefit from an 好色先生tval program or activity; creates an intimidating, threatening, hostile, or offensive 好色先生tv environment; has the purpose or effect of substantially or unreasonably interfering with a student's academic performance; or otherwise affects the student's 好色先生tval opportunities.

The Superintendent or designee shall not inquire into or request documentation of a student's citizenship or immigration status, and shall not deny a student enrollment in a district school on the basis of the citizenship or immigration status of the student or their parents/legal guardians. Any information obtained about a student's or parent/legal guardian's citizenship or immigration status shall not be shared without parent/legal guardian consent or a lawful judicial order, in accordance with laws pertaining to the confidentiality of student records.

District (IUSD) personnel shall not inquire specifically about a student鈥檚 citizenship or immigration status or the citizenship or immigration status of a student鈥檚 parents or guardians; nor shall personnel seek or require, to the exclusion of other permissible documentation or information, documentation or information that may indicate a student鈥檚 immigration status, such as a green card, voter registration, a passport, or citizenship papers.

Immediately upon entering any school building or grounds, any person who is not a student of the school or a district officer or employee shall, when school is in session, report his/her presence and the reason for visiting the school to the principal or designee. 听All volunteers, visitors and guests to IUSD sites are required to check in at the school office. The school must furnish them with identification to wear while on campus.听听听 Any person the principal or designee asks to leave school grounds shall promptly comply.

No outsider鈥攚hich would include immigration-enforcement officers鈥攕hall enter or remain on school grounds of the 好色先生tv District during school hours without having registered with the principal or designee.听 If there are no exigent circumstances necessitating immediate action, and if the immigration officer does not possess a judicial warrant or court order that provides a basis for the visit, the officer must provide the following information to the principal or designee:

  • Name, address, occupation;

  • Age, if less than 21;

  • Purpose in entering school grounds;

  • Proof of identity; and

  • Any other information as required by law.

The 好色先生tv District shall adopt measures for responding to outsiders that avoids classroom interruptions, and preserves the peaceful conduct of the school鈥檚 activities, consistent with local circumstances and practices.

好色先生tv District personnel shall report entry by immigration-enforcement officers to any on-site school police or other appropriate administrator as would be required for any unexpected or unscheduled outside visitor coming on campus.
